A week full of learning and friendship

When i got in Barcelona, i had no idea that after 2 weeks we will have to take part into a EVS starting training course in Girona. I was not expecting that much, and i am pretty sure that this was the key for an amazing week. I had the opportunity to meet all the volunteers across Catalunya and managed to create connections for the period that i will have to spend in Barcelona. I have learned a lot about people, about myself, i saw different types of projects, i got the chance to understand better my role as a volunteer and also getting to know each of my colleague was the best experience of the entire week, The program was full of projects and tasks, we all learned about spanish and catalan culture and history, we tried to set some goals for our EVS projects and also had a lot of fun. PUTREN LE JAKHA III! Open your Eyes! International Youth Conference on Antigypsym

The seminar was aimed to raise the awareness and activism to challenge antigypsyism, discuss ideas, initiatives, activities and open questions concerning this topic. 42 Roma and non Roma youth leaders, youth workers, activists, current and former volunteers and multipliers had come together to challenge stereotypes and antigypsyism, to develop tools for local actions and campaigns and to engage in a public action for Roma rights.
